Recognised as both a Country Park and a Local Nature Reserve in 1995, this new wooded site, located to the east of Billingham on the outskirts of Low Grange, represents a major contribution to the development of the Tees Forest.
Around 250,000 trees have been planted on the 100 hectare site since 1991, which, as they mature, will transform an open windswept landscape into an important recreational resource, with wide woodland rides and paths for visitors to enjoy.
Other facilities include ponds, meadows, sculpture trails and a large lake. An Activity Centre provides toilets, baby changing facilities, a small shop offering light refreshments and an information centre with displays and leaflets. Opening times vary.
